I was born in Abu Dhabi, and have been brought up in a cosmopolitan environment. Since I have spent half of my life living in different cities across the globe, diversity and egalitarianism have been deeply inculcated in my personality.
I began pre-school in London, continued my education in New Delhi, and have been in New York since high school.
Presently, I am a junior pursuing a triple major in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Quantitative Economics,as I continue to learn and nurture different cultural values.
In the present era, most people’s first interaction with technology is either a mobile, television, computer, or some other common electronics. However, I decided I wanted to build a career in Computer Science when I tried to build a chatbot out of curiosity. Though the code used only an introductory level of Java programming, when the project completed, I was overwhelmed with euphoria,
as I felt I had done something on my own. I went to further improve the chatbot to behave and talk more “human-like”.
My fervor to learn and improve motivated me to push my limits whenever I saw an opportunity.
I started from scratch with no knowledge of robotics to eventually become the head of Pneumatics and Electronics for my high school robotics team.
I followed up every internship opportunity and has been able to secure several prestigious internships with acclaimed firms.
Even during the busiest schedule of my school with back-to-back classes, robotics club, chess club, and college applications,
I worked as a research student with AMNH where I performed a CT Scan on the gut of a Crex Crex.
In a span of a few years, my knowledge has grown manifold, and so has my curiosity. I continue to invest my time in learning.
Moreover, I have been tutoring students in need in my college’s academic support center so every student can realize their dreams.
I have a deep seated interest in technology and aspires to work in the same post graduation.
I am highly interested in the field of artificial intelligence, especially it's utility in predictive analytics. The use of data to make a computer think in a “human-like” fashion has gripped my interest since a long time which led me to choose Data Science and Statistics as my concentration for my Mathematics major. In particular, I am very interested in predictive algorithms. I also enjoy exploring other subfields of AI, such as computer vision and natural language processing both of which I have worked on using OpenCV and Python NLTK.
Currently, my goals are:
